Michelle Wu Holds Annual Block Party

Boston, MA— City Councilor At-Large and Mayoral candidate Michelle Wu held her annual Augustus Ave Block Party on August 26, an evening of food, music, and community. All were welcome to the block party, which drew a crowd of more than 100 neighbors and people across Boston, and featured grilling, the band Zoe Knight and the Mythical Beasts, and Ron’s ice cream. The event lasted from 5 - 8 p.m. 

“It was a beautiful night for our annual block party! I’m so grateful for neighbors, community and this amazing team,” said Michelle Wu.

Michelle believes block parties play an important role in community building and strengthening our democracy. She regularly coordinates with neighbors to help plan the Augustus Ave gathering and used these experiences to publish a Block Party Guide that any Bostonian can use to plan their own.
