One of the most important responsibilities of the Boston City Council is to review and approve the Mayor’s budget each year.  The fiscal year runs from July 1st – June 30th, so we spend most of April, May, and June each year in budget hearings with department heads to analyze their proposed budgets and review performance from the previous year. Each department submits summaries to the Council ahead of time – I’ll post them here as we get them.
